The Forests Commission Retired Personnel Association was founded in 1979. Its aims are (inter alia) to enable retired personnel of the former Forests Commission Victoria and their spouses/partners to meet at regular intervals, to renew friendships, partake in social entertainment, establish and maintain Forest Heritage Museums, and maintain forest memorabilia for the benefit of the general public and future generations.
The Association operates a Forestry Heritage Museum at Beechworth, located in the former Forests Office. It meets formally four times a year.
